TRANS MALAYSIA - DAY 2

Day Two – 29/01/2006

As early as 6 a.m., TokMohoni already up...&*%#@***!!# TokMohoni was complaining that he couldn't sleep due to fireworks played untill early morning. I just lay still contemplating whether to get up now or later... well.. later it is...6.30 a.m. got up.. took bath.. solat. By 7 a.m. we tata..titi..tutu.. Zahir's family to a mamak restaurant for roti canai (we are Malaysian after all..). Now, it is no wonder Zahir is so 'healthy'.. his favorite restaurant gave us a large dose of roti canai compare to normal size... By 7.30 a.m. we left the restaurant for our official rv i.e. Shell Sg Besi. Sharp 8.00am, we reached the rv point but only Balan was around with 3 plastic garbage bags beside his Shadow.... Whao! Balan brought so much of stocks for the trip.. :-D Now where is Hippo, the so called leader of the trip?? We forgot the JTK (Janji Taik Kuching = Unfulfilled promise) clock is different from us.... Anyway, the participants slowly arrived & finally the list...

Those who JTK flag off

By 9am, Hippo called all participants for simple briefing, followed by a doa selamat by Pak Lang. Around 9.30am, we were rolling..Today routes covered Sg. Besi – Kajang- Broga - Lenggeng - Seremban - Rembau – Tampin- Lubok China -Linggi - Melaka – Merlimau- Muar - Yong Peng - Bt.Pahat - Senggarang - Benut - Pontian Kechil.

On the way to Tampin, twice my belonging that was tied at the back seat flew. First, sleeping bag flew off with mineral water. Lucky for me, TokMohoni was behind me to pick it up... if not, for sure I woudn't dare to return home... the sleeping back was borrowed from TokWan and he did not take kindly if I lost his belonging. Second time, my givi bag flew with another mineral water while I was enjoying with the corners.. this time 90 was kind enough to pick it up for me. After twice these thing happen and both after involved mineral water, I finally understood that this yellow scoot hate mineral water. So, I decided to skip buying new mineral water and just share others... surprisingly the yellow scoot stop throwing things from her back... (remember TokMohoni theory?)
We stopped at Pantai Klebang Melaka for pictures session and smoking.... the road condition was peak with traffic since it was holiday. Weather a bit hot but sometime when it was clouded and the wind blowing.. it felt heavenly..

The trip continue after hang around for about an hour. We then stopped at Muar for it's famour mee bandung. Now I know why they kept on making trips for the Muar Mee Bandung.. DA BOMP!!! Pawerrrrr!!!

After Muar, we continued to Batu Pahat where YB Pak Su is supposed to wait... instead it were us who have to wait for him. While waiting, some of the bikers tried another famous Nasi Beriani Gam at one of the stall there.

From Batu Pahat, the ride continue to Pontian Kecil where Zahir's father house situated and also gonna be our overnite hangout. We reached there about 8pm.. that also because Hippo had changed his VN1500 with Eddy's 954 but forgot to tell Eddy that the fuel already on reserve.. After the VN1500 stalled, Eddy kept on trying to start the bike until the battery went flat... lucky creativity kicked in & using couple of wires, they managed to jump start the bike back again...

At Zahir's father house, we been welcomed with open hand by his father and brother in law. Really nice man and so talkative! We were really appreciate their hospitality.. but I think his father would be more appreciate if we didn't took out our shoes right in front of him... imagine the whole day in hot weather... the smell...ughhhh!!!! That night we were served with bread dipped into gulai daging... what a taste... bikers will swept clean anything you served them after a long day on bike... :D

To be continue....
