Day One – 28/01/2006
Right after dawn, I can't go back to sleep. My heart was beating hard..thinking about this ride. While waiting for the sun to rise, I'd kiss my kids who still sleeping.. gonna miss them for the whole week. Can't do the same to my wife...scared later on it'll end up cancelling the ride :D..
When the sun began to shine, I started to pack..TokMohoni had done his since a week ago..me, the worst case of procrastinator only started on the day itself
My list for a week of ride:
1. Short sleeve Tshirts - 6 pcs
2. Long Sleeve Tshirt - 1 pc
3. Additional jean - 1 pc
4. Bath Towel and face towel
5. Boxer short – 7 pcs
6. Stoking – 6 pcs
7. Sarong – 1 pc
8. Camera
9. Spare glass
10. Hand rolled tabacco set
11. Camping gear & sleeping bag
The result... you could see yourself.
Sharp 2pm, I reached Restoren Nasi Kandar Pelita Sg Dua. TokMohoni & Zahir already there. TokMohoni's wife, Mami & children also there to send us off... felt like going for haj. From there, we moved to Shell Juru to wait for Mart. After Mart arrived, TokMohoni received a call from his colleague to tag along. About 2.45pm, we start our ride... by sequence Mart (Elegan150) & Zahir (ZZR250), followed by TokSkoot (Tmax500), Tok Mohoni (RF600) and Khalid & Mrs. (CBX750).
We refuel at Petronas Sg Perak. After bikes & owner finished drinking/smoking, we moved again untill R&R Tapah. All reached there but Khalid... his CBX750 got coil problem. He had to cancel his trip & turned back. Just like before, Mart & Zahir moved first.. When TokMohoni wanted to move, he realised his RF600 was leaking petrol…. Both of us panic!! We are not expert in repairing.. TokMohoni started to get annoyed & decided to turned around... what can I do... leaking like this can only be fixed by welding.. where to find a workshop open during CNY?? But with the assistance of one BP station's staff, we managed to pry open the tank.. Then we realised that the petrol actually overflow.. TokMohoni had too generously fill the petrol till the RF600 threw up!! After we took some of petrol out, we continue the ride until we reached R&R Ulu Bernam, where Zahir & Mart was waiting. We reached Zahir's house at Selayang around 8.45pm. After everyone finished with the food & drink served by his mother, took shower & pray, we proceeded to Restoren Arang to meet with Central gang for unofficial tts (teh tarik session). Waiting there were Yippo, Lipas, Gus…. Aaaa who else aahh? can't remember really.. Yeop & Lipanz came later. Yippo generously treated us with dim sum. Thanks bro..About 12 midnite, we had enough... tomorrow still a long ride. We went back to Zahir's house for sleep over. When we reached there, our sleepiness gone... TokMohoni started to wash his bike and talked to her!! When asked.. he said bike is also consist of things created by god, therefore in a way also alive & has feeling!! Errrrr... okay.. whatever... About 1 am, we all hit the sack....zzzzzzz
